Jack Greer AMERICAN, b. 1987
Jack Greer is a prolific innovator of a range of mediums, including drawing, photography, sculpture, and apparel design. Greer has described his own constantly changing style at different times as “extremely meticulous and real” and loaded with “tons of text and lighthearted punk rock imagery.” Among his better-known drawings are a number of pencil renderings of sharp objects. He has used his photographs in wall-mounted collages, sculpture, and installations, in combination with ink, dirt, blood, thread, and paint. In 2012, he created a series of sculptures consisting of chainsaws embedded in transparent blocks of resin. Greer is also an active member of The Still House Group, an organization founded by Isaac Brest and Alex Perweiler.
